Mary Spaun is a Northwest native who grew up in King County, Washington. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in 2003. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2006.
Mary was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2006. Mary joined the Ryan Sells Uptegraft, Inc. firm in 2006 shortly after her admission. Her primary practice is juvenile offender law. She represents juveniles in all three levels of juvenile charges, i.e. misdemeanor-level, gross-misdemeanor level, and felony-level. She also handles motions to seal juvenile records.
Her secondary practice is dependency law. She represents parents as well as children in dependency proceedings. Mary has also handled At-Risk-Youth (ARY) petitions, Children-in-Need-of-Services (CHINS) petitions, Interstate- Compact matters, landlord-tenant disputes, estate planning such as simple wills, living wills (aka healthcare directives), and powers of attorney.
When she is not busy at work, Mary most enjoys time with her husband and Labrador Retriever in the great outdoors.
